Exploring Traditional Medicine: Towards a Personalized Approach to Healthcare
The concept of Temperament is a common underlying principle of traditional medicines across the globe, which explains the body's equilibrium state between hot and cold and how any deviation from this balance can lead to illnesses. This approach enables practitioners to provide personalized treatments based on the patient's condition rather than the disease itself.
Dr. Maryam Yavari has recently accomplished her international project on this theory with the collaboration of a group of scientists. The project compiles native interpretations of the Hot and Cold theory in different traditional medicines and reviews scientific research on the subject.
